Star Trek (2009) directed by JJ Abrams … the year 2233 … the sequence is Rebooted, starting from the birth of James Tiberias Kirk (Chris Pine), altered continuum.
Star Trek (2009) begins with USS Kelvin NCC-0514 commanded by Captain Richard Robau (Faran Tahir) investigating strange massive lighting in space, while suddenly approached by unidentified Romulan ship Narada commanded by Captain Nero (Eric Bana). Captain Richard Robau was transported by forced and questioned regarding Ambassador Spock. Confessing having no knowledge regarding the Vulcan Ambassador named Spock, the USS Kelvin NCC-0514 is destroyed, while all the crew have escaped. Acting Captain George Samuel Kirk set USS Kelvin NCC-0514 to a collision course to Romulan ship Narada. Acting Capitain Samuel Kirk still heard his baby born on the escape pod and named him James Tiberias Kirk.
In Vulcan, youth Spock has completed the Vulcan Academy and join Starfleet. On Earth, youth James Tiberias Kirk (Chris Pine) was approached by Capitain Christopher Pike (Bruce Greenwood) to join Starfleet, to continue his Father’s heroism. Three years later, James Tiberias Kirk drew Spock’s attention, cheated in Kobayashi Maru Simulation Scenario (the no-winning simulation written by Spock), in Starfleet Academy. During the James Tiberias Kirk suspension hearing, Starfleet receive distress call from Vulcan and summoned any available crew to help. Leonard Mc Coy (Karl Urban) smuggles James Tiberias Kirk to the USS Enterprise NCC-1701 commanded by Captain Christopher Pike. James Tiberias Kirk address Captain Christopher Pike that it will be a trap. Arriving on Vulcan, the Romulan ship Narada found drilling into the Vulcan home world and suddenly attack USS Enterprise NCC-1701. Surrendering to Captain Nero due to the less power of weaponry, Captain Christopher Pike tends to buy some time while ordering James Tiberias Kirk and Hikaru Sulu to perform sky diving to sabotage the drilling. Captain Nero managed to launch red matter to the center of the Vulcan planet to create black hole and the Vulcan home world was destroyed. Spock fails to save his mother.
James Tiberias Kirk was marooned on Delta Vega on charged of mutiny during debate on the bridge of USS Enterprise NCC-1701. James Tiberias Kirk met old Ambassador Spock (Leonard Nimoy) who tells the story that on 2387, Ambassador Spock was in charge to stop supernova that will destroy the galaxy. His one shot attempt was fail and the supernova destroys planet Romulus, the Romulan home world. Both Captain Nero and Ambassador Spock was consumed by the black hole created by the red matter. Captain Nero arrived first while Ambassador Nero arrived later, Narada captured Ambassador Spock ship with its red matter and stranded Ambassador Spock on Delta Vega to watch Captain Nero’s revenge destroying Vulcan home world.
The mission is to return James Tiberias Kirk back to USS Enterprise NCC-1701, let James Tiberias Kirk takes command and get respect by the crew naturally including the young Spock, capture Captain Nero and his ship Narada, securing red matter that capable to fabricated black hole in galaxy-scale, and save the galaxy.
